Paynes Creek Fire Station

CAL FIRE Paynes Creek Station is a two-engine state station and houses Engine 2551 and Engine 2571, type 3 fire engines. The station is fully staffed year-round. During the winter months, the battalion personnel work on various fuels reduction and Vegetation Management Projects.

Paynes Creek station is responsible for the wildland fire protection of large amounts of commercial timberlands that stretch from highway 36E in the north to the Butte County line in the south and all-risk incidents. The station also provides protects the communities of Paynes Creek, Ponderosa Sky Ranch, and Mineral.
