CAL FIRE Elk Creek Station is in Battalion IV and is the only CAL FIRE station in Glenn County and the southernmost station in the Tehama Glenn Unit. Elk Creek is staffed with 2 Fire Captains or Engineers and 4 firefighters during summer staffing. It houses two type III engines, Engine 2564, and Engine 2574. The station response area covers over 314,000 acres of the western portion of Glenn County. The station is staffed by personnel in the winter and is committed to fuels reduction projects within Battalion IV.
